From a small credit union in Nevada to a trusted global financial partner—our journey is built on community, integrity, and a relentless commitment to member success.
Our Story Rooted in community. Driven by purpose.
In 1985, a group of Nevada teachers, nurses, and public servants came together with a simple idea: banking should serve people—not shareholders. With $25,000 in pooled savings and a shared vision of financial fairness, North Camp Credit Union (LDPCU) opened its first office in a converted classroom at North Camp High School. There were no fancy systems, just handwritten ledgers and a promise: every member would be treated like family.
For decades, we grew quietly but steadily—adding branches, launching digital services, and expanding our mission to include small businesses, students, and underserved communities. We never chased short-term profits; instead, we reinvested earnings into better rates, lower fees, and financial education. By 2010, we were serving over 50,000 members across the Southwest.
Today, LDPCU operates globally—serving expatriates, digital nomads, and international businesses—yet we remain true to our roots. We’re still member-owned, still community-focused, and still governed by a board of volunteers who are also members. Our story isn’t about scale; it’s about staying human in a digital world.

We believe finance should empower, not exploit. That’s why our story continues to be written by our members—every loan funded, every dream achieved, every community strengthened.
